PAY MONIES OWED MMT TO RESOLVE THE IMPASSE.

The hottest political program on television FAPEMSO, hosted by astute tv and radio personality C.O Sly has chided members of parliament, government officials and institutions that do not pay when they procure the services of Metro Mass to quickly do so to help resolve the impasse at Kumasi Metro Mass Transit.
This came after Staff of the Kumasi Metro Mass Transit rescinded their decision to continue with a sit-down strike which began last Wednesday, July 15.
The aggrieved workers embarked on the industrial action due to several complaints made over the non-payment of salaries for nearly two months.
The workers, mainly drivers and mechanics, called for the head of the Managing Director, Albert Aduboahene for crippling the government agency.
However, according to FAPEMSO there are reports government agencies and political bodies have used the services of the Transport company and have not paid.
Early this year, former vice-chair of the Roads and Transport Committee of parliament and CEO of DVLA Hon. Joseph Osei Owusu indicated that he had in his possession documents detailing MPs, government officials and state institutions that are owing the transport firm.
Though negotiations behind closed doors between the staff and the Ashanti Regional Security Council as well as labour officers reached a consensus to call off the strike, FAPEMSO insist the ministry of Transport and Parliament to as a matter of urgency call members of the noble house of Parliament, Political Parties and other Government agencies that owe metro Mass transit to quickly pay to help resolve the impasse in the transport company.
