IS THE EC LOSING IT?

There have so many reported cases of destruction and chaos at some registration centres across the country since the Electoral Commission (EC) begun registration of eligible voters for the compilation of a new voters’ register to conduct the December 7, 2020 general elections.
According to videos, pictures and eye witnesses emerging from the grounds these chaos and destructions is as a result of politicization of the exercise by the two major political parties in the country.
This FAPEMSO, a socio political program on television hosted by CO Sly chastised the presence of these party vehicles and other paraphernalias at centres as the cause of this chaos and distractions.
M.P for Asutifi South, Collins Dauda, was attacked with pepper spray whilst monitoring processes at some registration centers at Acherensua, a town in the Asutifi South Constituency in the Ahafo Region.
The hard hitting CO Sly however charged the former minister of state to follow the matter to the latter and bring the perpetrators to book.
EC is an independent body eligible for this exercise and must stump her authority to avert future occurrences prior to the 2020 December polls.
