DOMELEVO CREATING POLITICAL TENSION – MAURICE AMPAW.
ANN : JULY 6, 2020
The President’s decision to direct Daniel Yaw Domelevo to take his accumulated annual leave was based on Sections 20(1) and Labour Act, 2003 (Act 651), which apply to all workers including public officeholders such as the Auditor-General.
Per the Act, a worker is entitled to annual leave with full salary in a calendar year of continuous service which cannot be relinquished or forgone.
This, Private legal practitioner Maurice Ampaw stated categorically that the tangent the Auditor General Mr. Daniel Yaw Domelevo is towing by replying his employer through the media does not augur well and is a clear sign he has no good intentions for this country but rather creating political tension.
Maurice Ampaw made this statement in a telephone interview with C.O Sly on Homebase tv’s morning show; EBOBORBA.
The outspoken lawyer also advised Mr. Domelevo to go to labour court if he fills he has been treated unfairly rather than the media war with the government.
