VOTE BASE ON PERFORMANCE & BETTER POLICIES.

ANN : JULY 22, 2020

The two major political parties the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have dominated the political scene since 1992.

No political party has been able to succeed itself after the mandatory two-term limit of four years each.

Elections in Ghana are “winner takes all.” The spoils are: the right to appoint ministers, presidential staffers, managers and board members of all parastatals, and more importantly, the right to award contracts.

This Felix Mantey director of communications for the Progressive peoples party ‘PPP' says the two party system has retarded the growth of the country.

Speaking on Homebase television morning show EBOBOBA hosted by C.O Sly, the communicator who is also a security expert claim Ghana’s governance system see these two political parties “ruling” instead of “leading” Ghanaians.

He also stated emphatically that Ghanaians have wasted their votes for the past 28 years, And said successive governments have wasted Ghana’s resources and must be kick out political parties with good ideology to manage the affairs of this country.

His compatriot from the Liberal Peoples Party (LPG) Jerry Owusu Apau, the director of communications and elections lauded the idea for Ghanaians to accept and vote a new party to power for proper leadership and development.

He also chastised Politicians for thinking about their personal gains than the development of the country.

He entreated Ghanaians not to allow themselves to be deceived to just vote but vote on performance and better policies.
