ANN : JUNE 22, 2020
“If we are going to make the changes we all want, then we have to start with a change in attitude to work. Government is ready to do its part and I am counting on you Secretary General (TUC) to lead the campaign for a change in attitude to work and increase in productivity.”
These were the words of the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, when he delivered a speech on 1st May, 2017, to commemorate the May Day celebrations.
But some section of the working class have turned death ear to what Africa News Network theme as “bossing the job to look important than availing themselves for the client or potential clients.
In a conversation with the former secretary of the Ghana Actors Guild, Actor-producer-director based in the US Efo Lucky Calebs recounted his bad experience with some companies here in Ghana.
He noted the attitude of the African boss and workers towards clients or potential clients does not come close to the change the president has been preaching.
Efo Lucky Calebs is however calling on authorities to adopt proactive measures to book and set up meetings with clients and stop “bossing” jobs to feel too relevant in the eye of the masses.
